EditHouse is a creator-outreach tool operated by Yash Jain (EditHouseQC), Ludhiana, Punjab, India. It helps video editors and other service providers research YouTube channels, write outreach emails and send them from their own Gmail account after reviewing each one. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Questions go to yash@edithouseqc.com.
What we collect
- Your account. Your email address, name, workspace name and a hashed password. We never store your password itself.
- Your business profile. The service description, offer, proof, portfolio link, tone and business mailing address you enter. These are placed into the drafts you create.
- Your work in the app. Campaigns, search filters, chat messages, drafts, draft ratings, prepared and sent emails, recorded replies and your do-not-contact list.
- Public YouTube data. For the channels your searches return: channel name and ID, subscriber count, recent video statistics, upload dates, video titles and links, obtained through the YouTube API Services.
- Publicly published contact details. Business email addresses and social links that creators publish on their channel, video descriptions or pages they link to. We do not guess addresses, bypass captchas or read YouTube's hidden "view email" button.
- Your Gmail connection. If you connect Gmail, the address of that account and an encrypted refresh token. See "Google user data" below.
- Usage and security records. Daily usage counters, sign-in rate-limit counters, and records needed to honour unsubscribe requests.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Your sign-in session is kept in your browser tab's session storage and cleared when you close the tab or sign out.
Page counts. For each public page we keep a daily total of how many times it was opened and the name of the website that linked to it (for example "Instagram" or "Google"). These are plain numbers. We do not store your IP address, your browser identity, or any part of a web address after the "?", and we do not create a record of any individual visitor, so these counts cannot be traced back to you.
Google user data
When you connect Gmail, EditHouse asks Google for three permissions: your basic identity (openid), your email address (email), and permission to send email on your behalf (gmail.send). EditHouse cannot read, search, label or delete any email in your mailbox.
We use this access only to send an email you have reviewed and explicitly confirmed, from the account you connected, and to show you which account is connected. We store the refresh token encrypted and tied to your workspace. You can disconnect at any time in Email connection, which deletes the token and asks Google to revoke it, or remove EditHouse from your Google Account's third-party access page.
EditHouse's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, do not use it to train AI models, and do not let people read it except with your permission, for security, or to comply with the law.
YouTube API Services
EditHouse uses YouTube API Services to find and describe channels. By using EditHouse you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of that data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke EditHouse's access to your Google data at Google security settings.
Why we use it
- To run the features you use: search, drafts, reviewed sending and reply tracking you enter yourself.
- To enforce daily limits, prevent abuse and keep accounts secure.
- To honour unsubscribe and do-not-contact requests from people you email.
- To send account emails you need, such as password resets and email verification.
Who processes it
We share data only with the services needed to run EditHouse: our hosting provider, Google (YouTube and Gmail APIs), our transactional email provider for account emails, our payment provider when paid plans are offered, and AI providers (such as Groq, Google Gemini, OpenAI or Anthropic) only when AI features are switched on. For AI drafts and planning we send your request, business profile and the public creator details involved; for the in-app assistant we send your question, the last few assistant messages and a summary of your workspace (plan, usage, setup and campaign status, never creator email addresses). Each provider handles that data under its own terms; some free tiers may use it to improve their services, so do not put anything confidential in assistant questions. We do not sell personal data.
People you email
If you receive an email sent through EditHouse, the sender is the EditHouse user whose name and address appear in it. Every email contains an unsubscribe link. Using it adds your address to that sender's do-not-contact list, and EditHouse will block that sender from emailing you again. To ask us to remove your details entirely, write to yash@edithouseqc.com.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is open. Do-not-contact and unsubscribe records are kept for as long as needed to keep honouring them, even if other data is deleted. When you close your account we delete your workspace data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons. Backups roll over within 30 days.
Your choices and rights
You can view and edit your profile and campaigns in the app, disconnect Gmail at any time, and ask us to export or delete your data by writing to yash@edithouseqc.com. Depending on where you live, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act and the EU GDPR, you may have further rights to access, correct, delete or object to processing. We answer requests within 30 days.
Security
Passwords are hashed with Argon2, Gmail tokens are encrypted, connections use HTTPS, and every workspace's data is isolated from every other workspace. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will tell you without undue delay.
Children
EditHouse is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post changes here and update the date above. For significant changes we will email account holders before they take effect.
